is it me???

old navy

Is it me or has Old Navy completely stepped their game up?? I don't know about you, but sometimes I'll venture into their store, and either find one or two things I have to get, or not find anything at all. So, I was completely surprised when I went to their online store, and literally picked out about 10 items, that I just had to have!!

So let's start with the flip flops. I used to be totally into Old Navy flip flops, when I was in my first 2 years of college. They were comfy, great for the beach, and great to wear around the house. And then I don't know what happened, but they didn't appeal to me anymore. Maybe because they didn't come in any color that I liked! Now these lovely flip flops come in so many colors (including gold....yesss!), and some of them have beautiful patterns on them, which totally make me want to just get all of them. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be going to the beach any time soon, or give up my new Bridget sandals for flip flops when I go out. So really I'll just have flip flops sitting in my closet gathering dust. Not cool.

As for the sandals, you know I am waiting for the weather to just warm up! Old Navy's sandals are chic and fabulous! I want about 3 pairs of them. But you know, I think it's pretty bad I have mostly opened toe shoes, seeing that I live in a state where most of the year is cold! But I can't resist, I just love sandals, and everytime I buy one, I tell myself I'm going to Jamaica soon so it's worth it! So these sandals make me crave a warm spring, and summer even more. I think it's totally unfair for stores to do this to us since some states are still getting snow! Don't you agree? It's like serious torture to see these and we're still wearing winter coats.

Now, ever since I started a bag company, I haven't bought any bag....well maybe everyday bags as I don't make those...yet. But clutches I tend to stay away from. The thing is, I don't know if I can stay away from the lovely over-sized clutch from Old Navy. The print is lovely, the wooden handles are beautiful, the size is perfect...and just so so so much more make me want to just go and get it. And then I'll probably add some aliamichèle broaches to make it a little different. I know that's bad but this clutch is so great.

Anyway, check out Old Navy's stuff. They have new jewelry too that's to die for. And they're having a spring sale right now, so some of these sandals seen here are going for about 8 bucks! BARGAIN!

Clockwise from left: Flip flops; Metallic braided sandals; Wooden handle canvas clutch; Patent slides; Patent T-strap sandals.

So I just checked out the Old Navy site after reading your post. And no, it's not just you. I like how they are getting into patterns and prints now (Pattern Play collection), rather than only solids. And they even care about the patterns on the soles of your feet. Thumbs up for Old Navy!
