This is our second week of Frilly Bit Fridays!!! Yay!!! And since it's sandal week I thought I'd end the week with this....SOLELESS SANDALS!!

I remember seeing a pair of these in my mother's jewelry box from the 60's/70's. I'm always dipping in that jewelry box. But the first time I saw them, I wondered what they were...putting them on my wrist, my neck...trying to work it out. Then mum told me they're for your feet!! How cool I thought...and she told me she used to wear them to house parties. My mother is awesome...what can I say.

Now it seems that these kind of sandals are making a comeback. Or maybe they never left. I did an etsy search and found quite a few interesting ones. They are great for beach parties, outdoor weddings and the works. I'm even thinking about wearing them in NY, on the subway and everything! hahahahah! WRONG! I would definitely come home with a foot infection if I did that. But these soleless sandals are really cool....so if you are planning to go to the beach and want to dress up your feet with something that won't feel gross if you get them wet, or get filled with sand, and will add that extra twinkle to your feet...then I'd say go for these. You could even make your own if you liked! I'm going to go to Jamaica to see if my mother's own will fit...because I remember them being lovely...but I had no where to wear them at the time!!!
