I’m back and I got Hervé with me:)
16/06/2008I haven't written on my blog for probably a month or so...right??? Maybe longer. I have been attacked recently by some people too...but I honestly just needed some time to get myself together, and truly be once again inspired to write about all the things I love and spend too much money on:)
And one thing I would spend my money on... two Hervé Léger dresses (because with all these pictures...obviously I can't choose one)! First, I would really love to get a book on the founder (Hervé L. Leroux) of this fashion line....because online never gave me enough info (anyone knows of a great book on him...let me know)! However, I do know he started the whole "little black dress" ordeal, and also Max Azria acquired the line in 1998, and took over the designing last year.
Now, the main point of this post is the infamous “bandage” dress! When I first saw these dresses I thought they were pretty cool. Apparently they flatter any body due to the bandaged fabric. But while looking at them, I thought to myself...how many designs could you possibly come up with in this “bandage” style??? You couldn't really expand it past the simple designs?! Right???
WRONG! Max Azria totally did what I thought was impossible....creating lovely combinations of fabrics, color, and texture! These dresses will cost you...basically laptop money! I don't think there is any under 1000 bucks! Chump change right? Haha! You may think I'm crazy...but I honestly think its worth it! I know, I'm not anyone to say I can purchase a $1000 dress because obviously I can't! But if I earned a good amount of money each year I think I would make the purchase (I may be wrong but I also think they are handmade...which makes it even more worth it).
You know sometimes you look at a lot of things and wonder why they cost so much!! I do that sometimes...but I look at the price of these dresses and I can't hate! I'm just so amazed by all the different ideas they came up with..totally proving me wrong! Not one of them look horrible...they are beautifully created! And I can't buy any imitation EVER...I will just wait for that day I can afford such a luxury! Unless..........you all want to put money towards a 30th birthday present for me...which is in 3 years...so you have lots of time!
