thigh hiiigghhhssss….

I don't know when I started to like socks. Hmmmmm....actually....I do know when. It was when I went to London in 2004 , and the british girls had on these ultra cool socks with their open toe heels, and I thought the style was just so awesome. So one day I asked one of my friends to take me to a place to get cool socks. We went to a little shopping area in London, and right there before my eyes was a store dedicated to just socks. Ahhhh...heaven! I purchased these really cool lacy socks, and I held onto them for soooooo long. They got holes in them and everything...which I am sure my mother wouldn't approve of...but I just couldn't let them go.
After that, I got a semi-addiction to socks (omg...how many things am I addicted to?). Every winter I'd go and look for cool socks to wear...and they always had a pattern or an interesting detail on them. It's so delightful to take your boots off to see fun socks on your feet. I figured it's as close to having freshly pedicured feet in sandals (which I barely get to do seeing that I live in these climates).
Anyway, one day I stumbled upon this lovely site called Hansel and Basel and I immediately fell in love. Now, I have never tried thigh high socks before but these unique patterns and details make me want a pair now. Each year I try to find a pair of tights with a cool pattern and it's always a hard thing to find...but with these socks I can wear my knee length skirts and people won't even know it's a pair of socks covering my legs! That's what makes them even cooler. The black lacy one with the scaly pattern is calling my name right now....and I think it will be added to my sock drawer very, very soon at this rate! Enjoy!
