Don’t you love going places, and seeing things that you just absolutely adore???? Well, it happens to me aaaaallll the time, and usually I want to take everything home with me. This past weekend, we went to a West African restaurant, and I saw these lovely lamps that I just wanted to put in my living room immediately (despite the fact I have no overhead lights in there)! But the lovely texture on the lamp shades created these beautiful shapes on the ceiling, and I was just in awe of how beautiful they were! It’s these kind of things that get me so excited about owning a home, and decorating and making everything pretttyy:) Enjoy!

I know, I know, it’s too soon to talk about scarves right??? Is it me or is it rather annoying to see people wear scarves in 80 degree weather?! I don’t care how cool it is, scarves should stay in the drawers until temperatures drop below 50 degrees! Also, I am sure some of you have realized that there are coats, sweaters and scarves out in the stores now! Seeing that I am hosting this weeks games night, I thought I would dedicate this teal and orange wednesday to my dream kitchen aid mixer! Every games night, I challenge myself to a different dessert recipe. I am trying to get my baking back where it used to be when I was younger! And I just realized I really haven’t had anything orange for my special wednesdays, so why not focus on the two lush colors this mixer comes in…tangerine and persimmon! Pay 400 bucks for these shoes??? I’m not quite sure. I mean I think if I was to buy them, I’d feel really bad for spending that much money on something I’d probably wear once. You see living in NY makes it very hard to wear heels. I used to be a person that wore heels a lot…now I see myself reaching for the flats instead! Soooo spending 400 dollars for something like this while living in New York, seems kinda out of the question! Don’t let Sex and the City fool you. Shop Bop has to be one of my favorite stores now, even though I can’t afford half the things. That’s ok though, I can still look. One thing I love on this site is their variety of dresses. Dresses are easy things to wear because you usually just have to get your shoes and be out the door! For me when I’m choosing a dress, the back of it is pretty important. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have seen a dress I love, and when I see the back, I’m completely disappointed. Sometimes when not too much attention has been put on the back, it makes a dress look even cheaper than it really is. So while on Shop Bop I found some dresses that are so simple at the front, and the backs are quite a wonderful surprise. Read the rest of this article »
